How Microsoft has impacted my life and how i plan to bring a change to the society being a Microsoft Student Associate?

My First Encounter With MICROSOFT

I first saw a computer in my school, knew nothing of it other than a device that is quite magical and can entertain me a lot. It was about 10-12 years ago. MS Paint & MS Office were the first products of MS I came to know about before getting to know that everything i was doing was itself on the most successful Microsoft product, i.e., its legendary Operating System- WINDOWS. At that time we used Windows 98 and within a few years Windows XP came, better in terms of multi-tasking, looks(curvier) and various supports. 

I still didn't had a computer at home that time and I wanted it badly, more than anything else. My few friends had a PC at home and I saw few amazing stuff that we can do in computer like transferring our photos to the PC(It seems very obvious now but at that time I was really amazed to see photo of my friend as wallpaper on his PC. :P). Also I always loved gaming and so I started demanding computer from my parents like hell. Finally after lots of efforts I got one low configured PC, but at that time it didn't matter. I loved watching movies and Windows Media Player was the reason I was able to watch them. Similarly more Microsoft products influenced me and I started taking great interest in computer science.

Advancing towards Technology

I started getting to know more about the softwares and computers through various competitions I participated in and learning a programming language. Now I am pursuing B.Tech(IT) for the love of this interesting and innovative field.

Microsoft being one of the leading companies in the world influenced me a lot, for instance, during open house in IIT-Delhi I came to know about 3-D imaging through Kinect which comes with Xbox 360 and Xbox One (another successful product of Microsoft), that stuff really excited me. Windows phones are another great achievement of MS, with easy to use interface and seamless performance they have got a few plus points in competition with the more dominating Android OS. Another field I really want to explore is making apps which is the key to build a successful OS.

I still remember how I blushed when I saw the logo of Windows 98 on my first PC, and from that point my journey to learn and share more and more about the coming technology continued.

Future Plans:

I am no top shot in the world of computer science but I want to be one. It would be an honor to be associated with Microsoft in any form. It will help me learn more, which is the most important part towards growth and development of an individual. 

Also I love to share about the latest gadgets and applications with everyone. Conducting workshops and telling the people about the amazing MS products would be a great initiative in helping the society develop interest towards computer science and information technology which are the booming sectors and have great demands for talented chaps.

I wish to be part of Microsoft Student Associate Program and help build a better and more educated society.
